VISIT SOUTH SOMERSET

Kingsbury Episcopi is a beautiful Somerset village nestled in the heart of South Somerset, and surrounded by apple orchards.

Just up the road is the Burrow Hill Cider Farm, well worth a visit to see traditional cider making and also try the famous cider brandy, distilled on the premises.

Also nearby are the studios of potter John Leach, grandson of the famous Bernard Leach, and son of David Leach. There are often exhibitions at his gallery and he also has reasonably priced and distinctive pots for sale which make an excellent souvenir or gift from Somerset.

East Lambrook Manor Gardens are near by, once the gardens of Margery Fish, celebrated plants woman and gardening writer. The gardens are particularly renowned for their collections of snowdrops, hellebores and specialist geraniums.

The Wyndham Arms is also situated near the National Trust property Barrington Court, and the English Heritage site of Muchelney Abbey.

We are not far from Thorney Lakes with two miles of nature walks, and of course we are a welcome haven for ramblers on the well known River Parrett Trail.
